A pull test, sometimes called “tensile test”, is one of the most basic mechanical tests for crimp quality used for all crimp types and shapes.
In this course, we will review the pull test measurement for crimp quality analysis, the general operation of a pull tester, and different pull test methods and parameters. We will explore a scenario to learn how to make important quality decisions, and also review a few examples for you to analyze on your own.
The course is not intended to cover the fundamentals of crimping, crimping methods, processes and products, crimp quality tools and processes, different crimping standards, or how to resolve defects.
